Effective date: August 9, 2026
VOME Studio (“VOME”, “we”, “us”) is a creative production and digital agency based in Accra, Ghana. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, vomestudio.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your information in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, where it applies to visitors from the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, book a call, request a quote, apply for a role on our Careers page, or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, company or organisation, and the content of your message or application (including a CV or portfolio if you attach one).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers may collect technical data when you visit the Site: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and how you arrived at the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and through analytics services where you have consented to them.
Client and project information. If you engage VOME for services, we collect the information needed to deliver the project and manage our relationship — contact details, briefs, contracts, and billing information.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries and provide our services; to prepare proposals, contracts, and invoices; to consider job and internship applications; to improve the Site and understand how it is used; to send updates about our work where you have asked for them; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one); our legitimate interests in running and promoting our studio, provided these are not overridden by your rights; your consent, for things like analytics cookies and marketing emails; and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and — with your consent — cookies for analytics and embedded media. Embedded content such as YouTube or Vimeo videos and social media feeds may set their own cookies, governed by those platforms’ policies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or through the cookie banner on the Site where available.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business — such as website hosting, email, scheduling, analytics (for example Google), and payment or accounting providers — and only to the extent needed for them to perform their services. These providers are bound by their own confidentiality and data protection obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
Our service providers may store data outside Ghana, including in the European Union and the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above: enquiry records for as long as the conversation is active and a reasonable period afterwards; client records for the duration of our engagement and any period required for legal, accounting, or tax purposes; and job applications for the recruitment process, unless you agree we may keep them for future opportunities.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Ghana, the Data Protection Commission.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including secure hosting, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
